Fraser Valley Eagle Festival

So my second trip to Mission in less than a month and I’m heading back next weekend. What’s the world coming to? Last time it was to see the salmon spawning at Weaver Creek and this time it was to see the eagles at the Fraser Valley Eagle Festival. It was my first trip to the festival and it is worth going out to visit. There is an info center to find out where to go and they actually had a live adult bald eagle that was orphaned from birth. It was really cool. I have never been that close to an eagle before. I was literally three feet away from the magnificent animal as it stared at me. Just seeing a bald eagle that close was worth the drive alone. We didn’t see as many as we had thought but it was still a good turn out. What I did realize is that I do need a better telephoto lens. I didn’t get too many good ones but I have posted a few from the hatchery and the eagles that I thought were ok after a little processing.
